Out of your everyday photos
A passport scan shows your identity, photograph and document number. In a vault, it is not mixed in with photos you scroll past or share.
Revault keeps a passport copy in an encrypted vault instead of your camera roll, email or chat history. The scan is encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM before it is stored, and the recovery key stays with you. Your physical passport still belongs somewhere physically safe.
Download RevaultSecurity modelCheck the download page for available iOS and Android store destinations. Native vaults work without a Revault account.

The image, its filename and its preview are encrypted on your device. The service stores ciphertext.
Downloaded files in native vaults work offline without a Revault account. Open your important passport copy before traveling to check it is present and readable.
A scan does not replace a valid travel document, and an airline or border authority does not have to accept it. Revault has not undergone an independent security audit, and the service can still see file sizes and timestamps.
A digital copy can help you refer to document details when planning travel or dealing with a lost original. Before storing one, check the photograph, full identity page and important text are legible without glare or cropped edges. Do not confuse a saved reference with an official travel document: acceptance and replacement requirements come from the relevant authorities, not from the vault app.
An offline copy is useful only while you can access the device that holds it. Keep your vault recovery phrase separately and retain a verified encrypted backup or deliberately configured cloud copy you can reach from a replacement device. Test opening the stored copy without a connection before traveling. A phrase saved only inside the same locked vault is not a workable emergency recovery plan.
Ask why an organization needs the copy, verify its destination and decide which information must remain visible. An encrypted share protects the transfer but does not redact the passport image. If you prepare a purpose-limited or watermarked copy, check it meets the recipient’s requirements without altering the source you may need later. Keep its sharing secret separate from the invitation and never send your vault recovery phrase.
Do not assume so. A vault stores a reference copy; it does not issue a travel credential or guarantee acceptance by an airline, border authority or other organization. Check the official requirements for your journey and document type.
You can use a recognizable label without putting the full document number in it. Vault filenames are encrypted, but become visible when opened or shared. Random import naming plus a private Travel tag is another way to organize the copy.
Confirm the complete vault copy opens, its recovery material is saved elsewhere and a backup exists if the copy is important. Deleting a gallery item may leave recently deleted or provider-backup copies, so review those systems separately.
Choose the settings that fit your files, and keep a recovery plan before you rely on a single device.
Download RevaultThese tools run in your browser and upload nothing, so you can prepare a copy before you send it.
Keep an encrypted copy of your passport away from your camera roll. Revault encrypts passport scans on your device before upload, with keys only you hold.
Keep card records and redacted statements in an encrypted vault. Revault is a private document vault, not a payment wallet, and saves only what you add.
An encrypted document storage app for passport copies, statements and scans. Files are encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM before they are uploaded.
