Add files without a detour through another app
- Unlock the destination vault and open the plus menu. Choose Import files, your photo library, Take photo or Record video. Camera and library access depend on the permission you grant.
- To create a folder, choose New folder from the same menu. Open the folder before importing when you want the new files stored there.
- Wait for encryption to finish, then open a saved file to check it. Importing a copy does not automatically erase the original from your gallery, cloud photo library or file provider.
Find a smaller set of files
File categories narrow the current view to photos, videos, documents or audio. Android uses scrollable text tabs with an underline for the selected category. Search and tags operate on decrypted information inside the unlocked vault; another vault’s filenames are not included.
Create a tag by typing it and pressing Enter, then attach tags that make sense for your collection. Mark an item as a favourite from its preview or file options. The Favorites destination shows those items in the current vault.
Change how the collection looks
The header keeps the vault name beneath the main title. Use its grid/list action to switch between thumbnails and a list with names and details. Long-press an item for file options, including renaming and moving. Folder names stay on one line and truncate when space is limited.
Automatic import naming is optional in each vault’s settings. Check the current name before renaming or exporting a document that you need to identify later. File-count limits on Free are checked when adding more items; Pro has no file-count limit.
