Link cleaner

Remove utm_ tags, fbclid, gclid and other tracking parameters from links before you share them. It runs on your device and uploads nothing.

Runs on your device
Loading the tool…

Links copied from social apps, newsletters and search results often carry extra tags that tell the sender who clicked and where from. Paste one link, or a whole message with links in it, and this tool removes the tracking tags it knows and leaves the rest of the address as it was.

What happens to your data

  • The text you paste is cleaned on your device. It is not sent to Revault or to anyone else.
  • The tool never opens your links, so the sites they point to are not contacted.
  • This page does not save what you paste. Close the tab and it is gone.

Limits to know about

  • Only known tracking tags are removed. A link can still identify you in other ways, such as a personal path or a token that looks like an ordinary part of the address.
  • Shortened links such as bit.ly are left as they are, because finding out where they go would mean opening them.

Frequently asked questions

Will a cleaned link still open the same page?

Almost always. Tracking tags only report where a visitor came from. A few sites use a tag for something else, so test an important link before you send it.

Which tags does it remove?

Campaign tags that start with utm_, click identifiers such as fbclid, gclid, msclkid and igshid, and email-service tags such as mc_eid. Amazon product links are cut down to the product page, and links wrapped by Google, Facebook or Reddit are replaced by the address inside.

Does it check whether a link is safe?

No. It only removes tags. It does not judge the site and it never visits the link, so be careful with links from people or messages you do not trust.
