How it works

What happens to your data
- What you type is turned into a code by your browser. It is not sent to Revault or anyone else.
- The code is static: the content is the pattern. No short link is created, so nobody can count scans or change where it leads.
- This page keeps nothing. Close or reload it and your details are gone, so download the file first.
Limits to know about
- A Wi-Fi code contains the network password in plain text. Anyone who scans or photographs it can read the password, so do not post it where strangers can see it.
- A static code cannot be edited later. If the details change, make a new code and replace the old one. Long content makes a dense code that is harder to scan.
Frequently asked questions
Does the QR code expire?
No. The code holds the content itself and does not depend on any service, so it works for as long as it can be printed and scanned. That also means you cannot change what it says afterwards.
Can I see who scanned my code?
No. A static code does not report anything, and this tool does not add a link that could count visits. If you need scan statistics, you need a dynamic code from a tracking service, which is the opposite of what this tool does.
Which error correction level should I choose?
Medium suits most screens and paper. Choose High for stickers or anything that may get scuffed, but expect a denser code that holds less. The higher the level, the less text fits.
