Loading the tool…

Take a photo against a plain wall, add it here and move the box until the head fills it the way your country asks. The tool sizes the photo for the country you pick and makes a print file at 300 dpi, a 4×6 inch sheet with as many copies as fit, and, for the United States, a small square JPEG for online applications.

What happens to your data

  • Your photo is cropped and sized by your browser. It is not uploaded to Revault or anywhere else.
  • The saved files are new, so camera data in the original, such as location, date and device, is not copied into them.
  • This page keeps nothing. Close or reload it and your photo is gone.

Limits to know about

  • This tool does not remove or change the background, fix lighting or check the photo against any rules. The guide only helps you line up the head, and your photo can still be rejected.
  • The sizes and head ranges follow published guidance that can change. Check the official rules for your country before you print or upload.

Frequently asked questions

Will my passport office accept this photo?

That is up to the office or agency, and this tool cannot promise it. Acceptance depends on things it does not control, such as the background, lighting, expression and head position. Read your government's photo rules and compare your photo with them.

How is the online photo for the US made?

The US asks for a square JPEG between 600 and 1200 pixels on each side and no larger than 240 KB. The tool starts at the largest size your crop allows and lowers the quality, then the size, until the file fits. If it cannot fit at 600 pixels it says so.

What is in the 4×6 inch sheet?

A 1800 × 1200 pixel picture at 300 dpi, which is 4 × 6 inches, holding as many copies of your photo as fit, with thin cutting lines. Print it at actual size, not scaled to fit, from a photo shop or a home printer.
