Remove personal details from text

Find and mask email addresses, phone numbers, card numbers, IBANs, IP addresses and secrets in pasted text. It runs on your device and uploads nothing.

Runs on your device
Loading the tool…

Before you paste a log, an email thread or a support request somewhere public, run it through this tool. It looks for patterns that are easy to recognise, highlights them, and gives you a copy with each one replaced by a label such as [EMAIL]. Names and addresses written as ordinary words are not found, so read the result before you share it.

What happens to your data

  • The text is scanned on your device. It is not sent to Revault or anyone else.
  • Nothing is saved: no history, no stored settings. Close the tab and the text is gone.
  • The tool makes no network request while you work, and it never opens the links in your text.

Limits to know about

  • It finds patterns, not meaning. Names, street addresses, employers, health details and anything else written as ordinary words are not detected.
  • It can miss a number written in an unusual way, and it can flag a number that is not personal. Review the result before you share it.

Frequently asked questions

What kinds of details does it find?

Email addresses, phone numbers, payment card numbers that pass the standard check digit, IBAN bank account numbers, IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, US Social Security numbers, and secrets in web addresses such as token=, key= or password=.

Can I keep the last four digits?

Yes. Turn on partial masking and cards and phone numbers keep their last four digits, for example [CARD ****1111]. That helps a support agent recognise the right one without seeing all of it.

Is the redacted text safe to publish?

Not automatically. The tool cannot see names, addresses or context that identifies someone. Treat it as a first pass, then read the whole text yourself before you post it.
